No going back!

The idea to change our life style began around 2002, we found Hillockhead and never really looked back! 

 

Peter is Dutch and was formerly an optical engineer, making lenses for telescopes, medical equipment and even satellites!   I was born in Yorkshire and moved to Scotland when I was 11, I spent the next 10 years in Helensburgh and Stirling. I have had many jobs from teaching English as a foreign language to teaching swimming.

 

 

Our Hillockhead family now includes 4 ponies, 2 dogs and a rabbit, we hope to have hens and goats in the future.  For the moment we supply fresh eggs from the next door farm, Balmungie farm also supply their own meat including chicken, duck, pork and sausages.

 

Time seems to move more slowly in the Highlands and people have more time for you and we hope we have created an environment here where you can enjoy "Highland Time"and really escape from the hustle and bustle of life and work in a home away from home.

 

 

We take pride in Hillockhead and you will find your cottage very clean and welcoming.  We want things to be just right for you and have tried to put homely touches in every cottage.   We are always thinking of ways to improve things and welcome any suggestions you may have.
